宜蘭縣生態教育協會以科技、人文與生態三個思維，於 103年4月20日在會址所在，發表概念產品「雲端智能生態箱」。
資訊科技的發展，成為雲端科技與智能建築產業前進的動力。生態教育協會希望，藉由導入最新的技術，從科技的角度，來為地球生態的永續發展盡一份心力。引此開發出未來商品——「雲端智能生態箱」。期望將來能夠廣泛應用在科學與環境生態教育之上。

雲端智能生態箱，主要包含：顯示裝置、生態紀錄與操作互動幾個部分。
顯示裝置：使用最新的透明顯示器，具備顯示與透明(視)的功能。可以同時展示資訊內容，與面板後的實體生物。亦可以經由特殊的趣味設計，或是互動內容，提升觀眾對於生物的興趣。

生態記錄部分：系統使用TI（德州儀器）的藍芽4.0無線傳感器。可以記錄並統計箱體內的溫度、溼度、氣壓、磁力等資訊。更能當作地區性的氣候分析儀，為地區的長期環境變遷做紀錄。此外，還可以取得網際網路的天氣資訊，與飼育的生物的適合環境做對應，做到報警與提示效果。將來預計外掛環境控制系統，提升飼育成功率。

操作與互動機制：因為生態飼養箱使用情境特殊，濕氣與塵土難以完全隔絕。所以捨棄傳統的觸控螢幕方式，改用光學非接觸的手勢控制器，作為操作介面。除了展覽解說，透過一些簡單的互動機制，更可以提升產品的新奇性。此外，尚可與解說講師的手機連動，投射螢幕畫面、或是作為操作介面，遠端控制智能生態箱。

Based on three concepts –
technology, humanity and ecology, Association of ecological education of Yilan
county (hereafter “Yilan AEE”) launched new research “Cloud Intelligent Eco-box”
on Apr. 20th 2014 at its site where is just next to a natural butterfly
eco-park occupying more ten thousands pings.
IT development has been
such a drive to push cloud technology and intelligent buildings industry
further. By introducing latest technology, Yilan AEE expects to contribute for
the sustainable development of ecology on Earth and probes with a scientific
angle. Therefore, Yilan AEE participated in the research of “Cloud Intelligent
Eco-box” and incorporated it as a product with infinite potential. Extensive
applications in science and environmental eco-education shall be the ongoing
developmental target of this research.
Cloud intelligent
eco-box is consist of three sections : display device, eco-recording and interactive
operating mechanism.
Display device : Latest
transparent display with displaying and perspective functions so that
informational contents and living creatures behind the panel both can be showed
simultaneously. Fancy designs or interactive description contents will be
available via these functional properties of display (Visit Cloud intelligent

the attraction to visitors can be enhanced substantially. Even more the eco-interpreter
may make marks on the transparent panel for his/her characteristic interpretations
regarding the creatures in the box.
Eco-recording : The Bluetooth
4.0 wireless sensor of TI (Texas Instruments) is the axis of our integrated
solution. It records all the information in the box such like temperature, moisture,
atmospheric pressure, magnetic field… etc., and it’s also the regional climate
analyzer to record the long-term environment changes for a particular area. In
addition, the system can analyze the weather forecast information obtained via
internet in accordance with the proper living environment for the breeding
creatures and alert/remind the breeder. A plug-in environment control system
will be planned in order to enhance the breeding success rate.
Interactive operating
mechanism : Intelligent eco-box encountered certain operating restrictions
because the moisture and dirt can’t be isolated completely. Therefore, the
system incorporates an optical leap motion controller instead of the
conventional touch panels. Besides of tour guild application, leap motion
mechanism enables to promote the novelty experience of this product. Moreover,
intelligent eco-box may also interconnect with eco-lecturer’s smartphone. The
screen of smartphone will be transmitted to the display with transparent panel
for assisting a deeper and more extensive interpretation via mobile device.
With this interactive operating mechanism, smartphone can be the operation
interface as well to remotely control the intelligent eco-box. 。
